Summer Entertainment

I've received some calls from summer entertainers promoting their programs. Here are some that might be of interest to you.

Rick Huddle, Comedian
"Arghh!" is a mixture of improvisation, storytelling, music, and audience participation.

Come along on a pirate beach adventure. We'll battle sea monsters and land lubbers, befriend parrots, and sing shanties. But how will we confront our biggest challenge- a new place to live and mysterious neighbors?

(Rick resides in Portland but will be in Madison and Green Bay this summer).

Kevin Hubbard, Classical guitarist
The program, entitled Classical Guitar with a Taste of Jazz, ranges from one to two hours in length, depending on what the library would like. It features classical pieces from various eras by composers from Europe (Spain & Italy in particular), Asia, and the Americas, jazz standards, folk songs, and originals that combine classical with other styles such as jazz, blues, and folk. It includes a brief spoken history of the guitar, composers' backgrounds, anecdotes, and an occasional joke. I generally charge $350 dollars for a concert.
