Fun Blog

I attended an educational technology conference last week in Florida (yes, it was nice being away from the frigid temps for awhile!), and I came across Johanna Riddle, a library media specialist who created a blog when she went to China for a semester. She kept up with her students on her travels and even incorporated things on her trip after she came back.

It's something you might want to do if you take a trip this summer.
What a fun way for students to learn!

Keep Your Eyes Open

I know we haven't had the Summer Reading Program Planning Workshop take place, but keep your eyes on more information on the Teen Summer Swap for Wednesday, March 12th!

Linda Jerome from the LaCrosse Public Library will be speaking, and you'll all have a chance to "swap" summer reading teen ideas! It should be a great time!

When I Grow Up...

Here is a video my teacher friends showed me on teachertube regarding the impact of technology on education. Very cool!

Create a Sketch!

Check out Sketchcast! It's a great way to be expressive!
You can sign up and create sketches. If you have a mic, you can record audio as you sketch!
I just thought this might be cool to share with kids for the Summer Library Program. Think of the possibilities!
Here is my Sketch. I hope you come up with something better. :)

Still Time...

There is still time to register for the SRP Planning Workshop, taking place next Thursday!
Please let us know if you are interested in attending by next Monday at the latest. Not only do we need accurate numbers for lunch, but Susan Santner also wants to make sure she has enough puppets for everyone!
