Welcome to "Little" Nic Bits!

When I asked the librarians who attended the Summer Reading Program Planning Workshop if they would like a blog geared toward youth, tweens and teens, the responses were very positive! Here are some:

• Performers, crafts, program ideas, great books that work with kids (storytimes)
• Yes, youth NicBits would be great for program ideas and sharing what people are doing.
• Story time theme ideas (books and tie-in crafts). What worked well – ideas for SRP or storytimes (share!).
• any and all kid stuff/teen stuff.
• Links for programming, esp. seasonal when not SRP themed. Links to book reviews & book reviews from the area. Hints on area library supporters.
• I would like a resource like this, especially if it included info about successful programs, room décor ideas, book reviews, and teen feedback.

So, the blog will be just that. Nic Bits will still be available for tech information, system news, grants, etc. "Little" Nic Bits (or Little Nic, for short) will be specific news, issues, resources and info geared toward our younger patrons.
